Katherine A. Nichols-Leindecker

Katherine brings a wealth of experience to Ben Hall Law, having spent several years practicing criminal defense and advocating for both parents and children in child protective proceedings. Katherine’s passion for criminal defense was born out of her work in the child welfare system, where she found great meaning in helping individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult periods of their lives and move toward positive change. Her years spent in litigation sharpened her courtroom skills and deepened her commitment to serving those in need.

At Ben Hall Law, Katherine plays a key role on the legal team, handling child abuse and neglect cases on behalf of the Department of Health & Human Services with a thoughtful and compassionate approach—and always with a strong spirit of collaboration.

A proud New Hampshire native, Katherine still visits often, though Michigan now feels like home. She is happily married and enjoys spending time outdoors—especially camping with friends, family, and her beloved Australian Shepherd, Michi (named after her husband’s first love: Great Lakes freighters). Katherine and her family are excited to welcome a new four-legged companion, Bruin, to keep her New England roots alive and well.
