Apply for the Ben Hall Law Michigan Police Academy Scholarship
Ben Hall Law awards one $5,000 scholarship each year to a student entering a Michigan police academy. The award is intended to help cover tuition that is not otherwise paid through grants, scholarships, or employer sponsorships.
The scholarship reflects Ben Hall’s own background in law enforcement and the firm’s commitment to supporting future officers who want to serve their communities with professionalism, judgment, and integrity.
One scholarship is awarded each year. Applicants must:
- Demonstrate a history of commitment to public service.
- Be accepted into a Michigan police academy and provide proof of enrollment.
- Submit a completed application, resume, transcripts, and essay as outlined below.
- Provide a letter from the financial aid office showing the total tuition amount, any grants, scholarships, sponsorships, or other credits applied, and the remaining balance. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the school.

Ben Hall Law Michigan Police Academy Scholarship Requirements
Please do not call or contact Ben Hall Law directly regarding an application. Only applications submitted electronically through the scholarship application form will be considered.
A complete application must include the following:
- Resume
- Essay
Applicants must submit an essay explaining how they hope to make a positive contribution to law enforcement and its relationship with the communities officers serve. Essays should be double-spaced and no more than five pages.
- Transcripts
- Completed Application
Award
The scholarship provides up to $5,000 toward eligible police academy tuition that remains after other grants, scholarships, sponsorships, or credits have been applied. A letter from the financial aid office must confirm the tuition amount, credits already applied, and remaining balance. Payment will be made directly to the school.
